AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
